Methods Supplement 3 I N T R O D U CT I O N Media Coverage of Work and Labor Issues We analyzed media coverage of work and labor issues, with a focus on how the media talk about the balance of power between corporations and workers and how the media present issues of equity and structural oppression in the workplace. [...] Public Understanding of Work, Care Work, and Manufacturing in the United States To identify the cultural mindsets that the public uses to think about work, including care work and manufacturing, we conducted both qualitative and quantitative research methods. [...] All the quotas we had at the full sample level were preserved to the extent possible in the three sets of interviews: on work and labor, on care work, and on manufacturing.
