Our Public Service, Our Future: An independent review of Australian Public Service (Thodey Review)

In May 2018, the Australian Government commissioned an Independent Review of the Australian Public Service (APS). The Review's Final Report was delivered in 2019 by David Thodey AO, Chair of the independent panel. This is one of the most substantive reviews of the APS conducted since the Coombs Royal Commission of 1976. This 2019 review looks at the key actions that must be taken to ensure that the APS is fit for purpose to serve all Australians now and in the decades ahead. The APS review made 40 recommendations and provides a comprehensive platform for change.
