Better FAFSA for Mixed Status Families: Updates from the Department of Education

On March 15, 2024, the Presidents’ Alliance hosted a briefing with the Department of Education, Immigrant Rising, NILC, ImmSchools, and the National College Attainment Network. The purpose was to deliver the most recent updates from the Department of Education regarding the status of the Better FAFSA for mixed-status families, as well as to offer recommendations and resources for institutions and practitioners assisting students with non-SSN contributors.
