Social Planning in Israel

21 Apr 2008

Social planning, according to the author, is inherently intertwined with the Jewish tradition. This article explores the transformation of social planning in Israel since World War II, along with the population’s changing perception of that transformation. The author argues that Israeli social planning organizations are now proving to be ineffective, as many of their goals have shifted from helping local communities to competing for and winning research contracts.
