In spring 2023 the Review commissioned six support and advocacy organisations to facilitate a series of focus groups to better understand the thoughts and ideas of young people and adults (aged 14-30) with lived experience.
The Review worked through these organisations because they had access to the people that the Review wanted to hear from and were able to provide a supportive environment in which participants felt comfortable and confident to speak freely.
The Review team set the questions that group participants discussed.
18 focus groups were held. Additionally two organisations conducted surveys and some held 1:1 conversations about the questions.
