This annual publication provides an overview of the provisional UK aid spending for 2023 (Official Development Assistance). It also provides comparisons with 2022 spend. It includes:
• Total UK ODA as a proportion of GNI (the ODA:GNI ratio);
• Total UK ODA delivered through bilateral and multilateral channels;
• A breakdown of UK ODA by contributor;
• Region-specific bilateral ODA broken down by region (FCDO only);
• Non-region specific bilateral ODA broken down by Type of Aid3 (FCDO only).
Over a quarter of UK aid spending is associated with housing asylum seekers in the UK.
and has revealed that the UK is spending more than a quarter of UK aid on costs associated with housing asylum seekers in the UK.
