EUAA JHAAN Presidency Final Report

Heads of Agencies meeting Senior representatives of JHA Agencies, the network’s observers as well as the incoming Belgian Presidency of the Council, and the representative of the EU Agencies Network, gathered at the EUAA’s headquarters in Malta on 21 November for the Heads of Agencies meeting. [...] This initiative started in 2022 and the aim of such meetings is to enhance the visibility of the JHAAN, raise awareness about the network’s activities, promote current and future priorities of the network and to explore how the network and individual agencies can potentially support the work of the incoming Council Presidency. [...] Other topics included: regular updates on the past and upcoming meetings and activities of the network by the Presidency; discussion on a JHAAN joint paper on the JHA Agencies’ contribution to EU solidarity with Ukraine and the way forward; organisation and implementation of the JHAAN Staff Exchange Programme and/or discussion on status of implementation of the Recommendations from the 10-year JHA. [...] Therefore, under the EUAA Presidency of the JHAAN in 2023, the network focused on cooperation in the area of cybersecurity with the aim to increase cybersecurity and resilience of the JHA Agencies against potential cyber threats. [...] Annual exchange of JHA Agencies on the charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union On 13 December 2023, FRA organised the annual exchange of JHA Agencies to discuss the promotion of the rights outlined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (the ‘Charter’) both internally and externally.
