The objectives of this document are: • To guide and assist the CDI Board and employees in understanding the CDI Guiding Principles and Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedures; • To ensure that the policies and procedures developed are in line with the following National Guidelines: ➢ Children First, National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children, Department of Children and Youth Aff. [...] The actions taken will be proportionate to the level of risk; • The measures which can be taken to ensure the safety of children and young people can include the following: suspension of duties of the person accused;, re-assignment of duties where the accused will not have contact with children/young people; working under increased supervision during the period of the investigation, or other measu.
