The report contends that the socio-economic dimension of the transition, which involves the sharing of benefits, is critical to the success of the transition. [...] At the Kigali training held on 13-17 March 2023 – the final in-person training – the modelling team analysed the sensitivity of the models and discussed the key insights from the modelling results for African interconnectivity and infrastructure under the CMP. [...] The plenary set the scene for the Assembly’s deliberations and considered the role of energy transitions in the context of the Global Stocktake to be concluded at COP28 in Dubai, UAE.
