"The purpose of this three-phase study was to examine the application of best practices in British Columbia of new graduate nurse acute care transition programs with a view to develop a best practices toolkit. A cursory review of the literature together with the expert input of the working-steering committee led to a focus on the following components of transition programs: education, support, competence/critical thinking, and workplace environment"--page ii.
