The Alberta Centre for Active Living aims to promote the health of older adults in Alberta by helping communities and practitioners through the Home Support Exercise Program (HSEP). [...] The Effectiveness of the Home Support Exercise Program Evidence on the Effectiveness of Home Exercise Lack of facility access, lack of transportation, and psychological barriers are key reasons why home exercise programs may work to improve older adult involvement. [...] A trained community-care coordinator/home-care nurse introduces the client to the program, assesses their interest and ability, and authorizes the health-care aide to start the client on the program.
