The focus of CP is the postpartum period and the health and well-being of the mother/child dyad (or mother/father/child triad) during the first year post partum. [...] The participants from the AOB study are representative of the parenting population in Alberta, and this cohort was an ideal comparison group for the CP study. [...] They included the public health managers of the two community health centres, the director of Public Health-Calgary Zone, and the Calgary Zone public health Vaccination Services Manager. [...] Appendix A provides a summary of the measures used, the timing of the data collection, and the measures that overlap with the AOB data. [...] Knowledge, information and skills were gained by participating in the program and this was highly sought and appreciated; in particular, in the areas of child growth and development and postpartum depression.
