Most Commonly Raised Constituent Concern: Partisanship An assessment of the most common themes showed that the individual code ‘Partisan Fairness and Competitive Districts’ within the Maps category came up in over 40% of comments, indicating constituents' notable concern about the partisanship of proposed maps despite the nonpartisan approach of the process. [...] Specifically, the blue bars show the percentage of the total population of the state that resides in a given region, while the red bars show the percentage of all regionally focused references that mention each region in particular. [...] RAs also recorded specific characteristics of each comment such as the meeting date, the commenter’s name, the hometown of the commenter, and whether the commenter spoke on behalf of a group, as well as a few other attributes into the spreadsheet.
