Following the trend observed across the region, the number of confirmed cases in the country is declining from a peak at the end of June/beginning of July 2020. [...] In the last 14 days, The distribution of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths in Democratic 248 confirmed cases have been reported in 50 health zones in 13 of Republic of the Congo by reporting date, 10 March – 11 October 2020 the 21 affected provinces in the country. [...] The Democratic Republic of the Congo was one of the first countries in the African Region to report confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Risk communication and community engagement is ongoing, March 2020. [...] Authorities need to urgently bring the strike of responders and community engagement at the health checkpoints in the in Kinshasa to a close in order to strengthen surveillance in this most affected region of the country. [...] The capital, Bangui, the west of the country and centre-east are the most affected areas of the country.
