POLLUTION INCIDENT RESPONSE MANAGEMENT PLAN - Prepared for: Hunter Power Project

If a pollution incident occurs in the course of an activity so that material harm to the environment (within the meaning of section 147 of the POEO Act) is caused or threatened, the person carrying out the activity must immediately implement this plan in relation to the activity required by Part 5.7A of the POEO Act. [...] • Construction and erection of the Employer’s Design • Construction and erection of the Power Island equipment under the technical supervision of the Power Island Supplier • Site assembly, installation and other construction activities as required for the facility within UGL’s scope of works and within the facility’s terminal points • Pre-commissioning and cold commissioning of the Facility within. [...] • Provision of all labour and supervision, equipment and Plant to construct and erect the Facility construction within the Terminal Points • Provision of all relevant information related to the Works • Attaining the relevant Works Approvals for the scope of works within the main works contract. [...] In the event of a declared emergency situation, where an evacuation of the site is required, the alarm will be sounded and where all personnel instructed by the Wardens should immediately evacuate the sites and proceed to the nearest evacuation assembly area as marked on the Site Map. [...] Equipment and infrastructure to minimise the risk to human health and the environment and to contain or control the impacts of a pollution incident are identified in the CEMP, HSMP and SWMS.
