19 June 2024 REFUGEES PROTECTED IN AUSTRALIA AT 7-YEAR HIGH, UNHCR DATA SHOWS The number of refugees granted protection or resettlement in Australia in 2023 reached its second highest level in more than 40 years, the Refugee Council of Australia’s analysis of data from UNHCR’s new Global Trends: Forced Displacement in 2023 report reveals.
