The Forum was initiated after the adoption of the New York Declaration in 2016 and the signing of the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) in 2018 and is intended to support the four objectives of the GCR, namely: (1) Ease pressure on host countries; (2) Enhance refugee self-reliance; (3) Increase access to third country solutions; and (4) Improve conditions in conditions of origin. [...] The Philippines pledges to continue refugees in Indo-Pacific host countries to gain and expand the Philippines skills sought after in resettlement countries, Recognises the Rohingya situation as complementary education pathways improving access to employment matching a priority and pledges to continue to for the admission of refugee and broader complementary pathways expand the number of Rohingya,. [...] As Co-Manager and Officer-In-Charge of the RSO, David is responsible for the management of all day-to-day operations of the RSO to ensure the RSO is appropriately resourced and positioned to deliver on its priorities and effectively support the Bali Process and its Member States to counter people smuggling, trafficking in persons and related transnational crime. [...] She is also the Chair of the Board of The Habibie Center, on the Board of the Centre for Policy Development, member of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI) and co-founder of Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia. [...] Before joining the Social Division, she has worked in various units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including the Department of ASEAN Affairs, the Department of Treaty and Legal Affairs, the Office of the Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Offices in Geneva, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Manama.
