The theme was “The Roles of the Civil Society in the EAC Common Market” to support efforts of strengthening the participation of civil society in the regional integration process and promote the peoples driven integration. [...] 2 The objectives of the Conference were to analyze the structural and systemic causes of climate change and propose substantive measures that facilitate the well-being of all mankind in harmony with nature; discuss and agree the draft Universal Declaration of rights of Mother Earth; to agree on proposals for new commitments to the Kyoto Protocol and projects for a Conference of Parties (COP) Decis. [...] This implies the decolonization of the atmosphere through the reduction and absorption of their emissions; - Assume the costs and technology transfer needs of developing countries arising from the loss of development opportunities due to living in a restricted atmospheric space; - Assume responsibility for the hundreds of millions of people that will be forced to migrate due to the climate change. [...] At the end of the Meeting the Ministers committed themselves to Advocate and provide the evidence of the benefits of investing in water and sanitation so that this sector is prioritized in our national budgets; Develop credible National Plans for meeting the water and sanitation MDG targets and ensuring sustainable service delivery.
