[...] The AIIA reiterates that Australia’s multi-layer regulatory framework is already responsive in addressing the types of harms that can occur as a result of the use of AI, and wrongdoers can already be held accountable in a myriad of use cases. [...] Conclusion The AIIA commends the government for taking proactive steps in adapting the legal framework to address the misuse of AI technologies. [...] Since 1978, the AIIA has pursued activities to stimulate and grow the digital ecosystem, to create a favourable business environment for our members and to contribute to Australia’s economic prosperity.
