Concept and Action Plan for Climate Services in the Republic of Moldova

Following the vision of the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) to enable better management of the risks of climate change and variability, the Moldova National Framework for Climate Services (NFCS) supports climate change adaption by guiding the development and incorporation of science-based climate information and prediction into national planning, policy and practice. Developed through a consultative process, the NFCS brings together providers and users of weather, climate and water information services, fostering closer cooperation to ensure supply meets demand, and that new climate information products are developed in a collaborative manner. It also aims to ensure that Moldova benefits from the ever-evolving technological and scientific developments in hydrometeorological and climatological services and systems, and that local applied research supports practice.
