This reference, published under provisions of the Adult Education Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act, is designed to help members of the National Advisory Council on Adult Education and the public communicate more effectively and knowledgeably about terms, definitions, and organizations associated with adult learning. Subject areas defined or described include adult learning terminology, the Adult Education Act, the Federal Register, legislative terms, and school finance and tax terms. Directories are provided for adult education associations and organizations and selected presidential education advisory councils.
