Public sector apprenticeships are a powerful and underutilized tool for workforce and economic development. When state and local governmentscreate apprenticeship programsfor roles where hiring is a challenge, they benefit from an infusion of talent. A new fact sheet from the Urban Institute provides an overview of public sector apprenticeships in the US and highlights examples of three public sector programs which show the variety of available opportunities.
