3 Thus, the overall goal of the research activity towards creation of a rational regulation of indoor radon is the assessment of the AAIR uncertainty based on the results of measurements with different duration, and the development of reliable (rational) criteria for comparing the test result and RL. [...] This goal is going to be achieved as a result of implementing the following two research objectives: 1) definition of the values of the coefficient of temporal radon variation, and 2) assessment of the influence of environmental factors on indoor radon behavior and determination the structure and values of the correction factor to estimate AAIR with greater accuracy. [...] The confidence interval and the most probable tabulated 4 values of the coefficient KV(t) are determined by statistical processing of the array of values of the coefficients Kj(t) obtained on the basis of a mathematical processing of the measurement results carried out in each j-th building that together will form a representative sample. [...] Regarding the development of national (traditional) regulatory approaches, Table 3 provides an example of evaluating the values of the Action Levels (AL) depending on the given values of the Reference Levels, using the above-described principle of indoor radon regulation and the tabulated values of KV(t) suggested by Tsapalov and Kovler (2018). [...] The accuracy of the AAIR estimate depends significantly on the coefficient of temporal variations of radon K(t), the values of which decrease unevenly with an increase in the duration of the test, which can be carried out at any time of the year.
