[...] Despite our active and vocal advocacy in regularly representing the interests of SEARCH Members and expressing concern over significant problems the Act would cause for state repositories, the CRAA Committee of the ULC endorsed the proposed CRAA and has begun reaching out to state legislatures to encourage their adoption. [...] This workshop will provide an overview of the provisions of the CRAA, facilitate discussion by the full SEARCH Membership Group of potential consequences, and contribute to the development of a policy paper and talking points to help SEARCH Members anticipate issues that may arise and to respond to questions should their legislature or other decisionmakers consider implementation.
