[...] As a result of this decisive meeting, the Secretariat determined that the performance indicators BY and FOR First Nations met the commitment made in 2022, at the signing of the Regional Education Agreement with the FNEC (“Agreement” or “REA”), to provide an accountability mechanism to measure the results of the REA by 2023-2024. [...] The FNEC's actions have also resulted in the following: • Ongoing communication with elected officials in member communities regarding the progress of the file; • The adoption solutions by the FNEC’s Special Chiefs Assembly in support of the judicial review; • The adoption of a resolution supporting the appeal at the Annual General Assembly of the Assembly of First Nations; • Communications from t. [...] To ensure the life-long continuity of education programs by and for First Nations, the FNEC has submitted comments to the ministry of higher education and the secretariat for the ministry of relations with First Nations and Inuit. [...] The following points were brought to the attention of the members of the Table: • Work with Percolab (follow-up on April 2023 consultation); including a short meeting with the Minister • Achievements under the Quebec Culture and Citizenship program; • Launch of the FNEC poster and video on school perseverance of First Nations; • Development of the future Stratégie pour la réussite éducative des él.
