VERTEBRAL AUGMENTATION PROCEDURES FOR VERTEBRAL COMPRESSION FRACTURES In this analysis, vertebroplasty had high applicability to the Medicare population given the age of the patient populations in most of the trials reviewed. [...] We strongly suggest that the authors include these data on the effectiveness of these procedures in the treatment of acute pain, improvement of function, and reduction of mortality.
