All speakers emphasized the commitment that all actors must have toward enhancing accountability of state institutions, the engagement of the Assembly in holding the government and regulatory bodies accountable, and the transparency of constitutional institutions themselves. [...] The forum was opened by Zef Preçi, Director of the Albanian Center for Economic Research (ACER), who underscored the importance of cooperation between civil society, business, and law enforcement institutions in the fight against corruption in the Western Balkans as a means to expedite the region's European integration process. [...] The Assembly will soon begin implementing the Post- Legislative Control Methodology and the Preventive Assessment Methodology for corruption in the legislative process.” In conclusion, she emphasized that “The participation in this Regional Forum of representatives from the SELDI (South East Leadership for Integrity) network and anti- corruption agencies from the Western Balkan countries is furthe. [...] At the end of forum the panelists stressed that the fight against corruption needs the active involvement of all stakeholders – including the CSOs, media and the business sector. [...] In terms of practical solutions, the speakers highlighted the measures foreseen in the draft of the Albanian Intersectoral Anti-Corruption Strategy 2024-2030.
