Amnesty International’s report ‘Unatainable right to housing’ is an analysis of people’s access to adequate housing in Slovakia. Accessibility and affordability of housing is a significant concern in Slovakia. To live in a public rental apartment is an unattainable dream for thousands of households because of the scarcity of municipal housing stock (that is, government owned housing that can be rented at affordable rates by people who need it) and the government imposed eligibility criteria to access such housing
