In the event of joint research collaboration, it is the responsibility of the respective member of the collaborating project partners to determine in advance how any exploited IP will be divided amongst the partners in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations of the respective countries of the institutions Participants and the institutions’ policies and procedures. [...] The collaborating project partners shall recognize the value of genetic resources, traditional knowledge, and traditional cultural expression (GRTK&TCE) and recognize the rights of the holders of GRTK&TCE to effective protection against their misuse and misappropriation by the collaborating project partners.
