[...] For the value in- fusion dimension of party institutionalization, we use Nomination to capture the extent to which indi- vidual party members’ advancement is tied to the party, and Continuation to measure the permanence of the party. [...] The formulas for these measures are identical to the global measures, with the primary difference being the subset of observations included in the factor analysis.24 In addition to creating regime-specific scores for individual parties, we also aggregate the measures to allow researchers to conduct analysis at the party system level.
