[...] The separation of the Israel Innovation Authority from other branches of government was a strategic choice to prevent the Authority’s work from being influenced by the specific needs or wants of the incumbent government and ministries in power and to maintain the long-term vision of Israel’s innovation policy. [...] Similarly, the Research and Innovation Law15 is a joint effort between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, given their overlapping mandates and responsibilities for research and innovation.
