This guide supports national governments to complete their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) 3.0. The Paris Agreement has driven progress on climate action, however, the world is still not on track to meet the long-term temperature goal of the Agreement. The NDCs due for submission in 2025 - also known as NDCs 3.0 - must be more progressive and ambitious than current plans. This guide makes it easy for governments to feature transport in their submissions. The transport sector currently accounts for 23% of energy-related CO2 emissions and is set to rise. The guide offers effective policy tools to tackle transport decarbonisation and also improve policy results in other areas.
