Paris Equity Check - How fair are countries' climate pledges? (Interactive map and dataset)

This interactive website shows how equitable countries' climate pledges are under the Paris Agreement mitigation goals. This website is based on a Nature Climate Change study that compares Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) with equitable national emissions trajectories in line with the five categories of equity outlined by the IPCC. It comprises two parts: an Equity Map and a Pledged Warming Map. Equity Map - The ‘Equity Map’ shows equitable national contributions according to each of the five categories of effort-sharing quantified in the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report. Each country's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) - a climate action plan – and their statements on the fairness of their contribution can be compared with each of the five effort-sharing categories. Pledged Warming Map - provides an assessment of global warming when all countries follow the ambition of a given one, reconciling the bottom-up architecture of the Paris Agreement with its top-down warming threshold.
