Training on influenza data management, analysis and pandemic influenza severity assessment Jakarta, Indonesia, 22–26 July 2024

The mission included training on influenza data management, a review of the ILI/SARI sentinel surveillance system, and a laboratory assessment. [...] This meeting, held one day before the start of the data management training programme, aimed to provide a briefing on the workshop and discuss the preliminary logistics for the event. [...] The first session of the training programme was delivered by Dr. [...] This understanding of the system provided both the participants and the training team with an opportunity to reflect on the relevance and applicability of the data management training within the Indonesian context. [...] Following the theoretical overview, participants engaged in a hands-on activity that applied these concepts to practical scenarios. This session gave participants valuable experience in implementing database design principles within the context of influenza data management, and all members of the training team facilitated the activity.
