A rapid damage and needs assessment conducted by the World Bank, following a request from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), estimated that the total value of the damage and losses in the three most affected sectors (transport, irrigation, and agriculture) in the nine most affected provinces was in the range of US$448-490 million. [...] In response, the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has mobilized various resources for rehabilitation of the affected rural infrastructure and livelihood activities and requested the World Bank’s support in the resilient reconstruction of the priority rural transport infrastructure and strengthening of institutional capacities to mainstream DRM based on the successful implementation of the Cambod [...] The PMU is coordinated by the Project Coordinator and led by the Project Director and comprises of the Project Manager and assigned staff of relevant MRD departments, including Department of Roads, Finance, Procurement, Planning and concerned provincial departments. [...] General Assessment ESS1 Assessment and Management of Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts Overview of the relevance of the Standard for the Project: Nine standards are relevant to the proposed project. [...] As part of the information disclosure arrangements, the drafts of the ESMF, SEP and ESCP will be disclosed publicly on the website of the MRD and hard copies made available at participating Provincial Departments of Rural Development- (PDRDs), with directly affected households meaningfully consulted.
