[...] The project was planned and initiated and analyzed to model vegetation heights and densities at in 2019, and field work by our collaborators occured in the the resolution of individual trees. [...] The results were released in a technical report and point to 1) the high accuracy of existing human footprint datasets, 2) the evidence of varying states of vegetation recovery across soft footprint types in the region, and 3) the potential of this technology for monitoring the state of vegetation and footprint to support Caribou recovery 13 ABMI Autonomous Recording Unit (ARU) efforts.
