[...] Accounting for Government Grants On June 13, 2022, the FASB issued an Invitation to Comment to solicit broad stakeholder feedback on the recognition, measurement, and presentation requirements of IAS 20, Accounting for Government Grants and Disclosure of Government Assistance. [...] FASB has asked for our industry’s input to ensure the staff and Board members understand the nature of such programs, their economics, and current accounting treatment to ensure the information included in potential due-process documents is accurate. [...] Along with other accounting committees, the task force will assist the industry in analyzing and implementing the final rule when it is issued.
