We are grateful to all the national and county stakeholders and all the respondents who participated in the survey for their time and the valuable information they provided during implementation of the study. [...] The 2015 ASRH Policy demonstrated the health sector’s commitment towards bringing adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health issues to the mainstream of health and development and contribute to the realization of their full potential in national development. [...] This report on the implementation review of Kenya’s ASRH Policy 2015 assesses the implementation of the policy as well as the status and trends of key adolescent sexual and reproductive health outcomes during the policy period. [...] These include: the Ministerial Commitment on Comprehensive Sexuality Education and SRH Services for Adolescents and Young People in Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA, 2013); the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) ratified in 1990; the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action (ICPD, 1994); the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Maputo Plan. [...] All the counties in the North Eastern region, with the exception of Mandera, reported lower proportion of adolescent pregnancy throughout the analysis period (2016-2021) in comparison to the national average (22.3% in 2016 and 22.0 % in 2021).
