The Nature for Health (N4H) initiative aims to prevent future pandemics by fostering locally developed and integrated approaches to secure the health of people, animals and the environment. [...] Based on this understanding, the initiative will support the collaborative development of locally relevant and cross-sectorally integrated policies and actions to prevent future pandemics and promote sustainable development. [...] N4H will strengthen the capacity of countries to implement those policies and actions, and will support the development or strengthening of effective and lasting multi-sectoral governance structures. [...] (UNDP), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and EcoHealth Alliance. [...] Existing integrated approaches to tackle the above threats, including some cross- sectoral collaborations/partnerships, governance structures and integrated policies and actions that are relevant to the environmental and health dimensions.
