The contractor shall bring to the notice of the Institute case any extra items not mentioned in the schedule of quantities during the course of the work and shall only carry out the same on written approval from the Institute's Engineer. [...] 1.1 Contractor to Inspect Site: The contractor shall visit and examine the work site and satisfy himself as to the nature of the existing roads or other means of communications, the extent and magnitude of the work, and facilities for obtaining materials and shall generally obtain his own information on all matters affecting the execution of the work. [...] 1.6 Water supply: Potable & Construction Water shall be arranged by the contractor at his expense and the Institute shall not be responsible for the supply of the same, The contractor while quoting has to include the cost towards the same in the rates quoted and no extra payment shall be made towards the same. [...] In lieu of the consideration herein mentioned the contractor will upon and subject to the conditions annexed carry out and complete the work shown upon the contract and described by or referred to in the Schedule of Quantities and in the said conditions.
