Since June 2022, EFFAT carried out the following activities and participated in tourism-related events: • On 21 June 2022, the Social Partners in the European Contract Catering Sector, at the Steering Committee meeting of their Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (SSDC), in preparation of the SSDC Plenary meeting in September, discussed how to address COVID-19 & the future of work in the contract c. [...] • On 23 September 2022, the Social Partners in the European Hotel and Restaurant Sector, at the Working Group meeting of their Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (SSDC), discussed the situation of the hospitality sector in Europe and its recovery, the EU Pact for Skills for Tourism, social partners actions vis-à-vis Ukrainian refugees, the review of the EU Sectoral Social Dialogue, the Directive o. [...] • On 26-28 September 2022, the outcomes of the seminar “Build trade union power in the HRCT- Sector” organised end of May 2022 in Zagreb, were presented at the final conference of the EFFAT - ITC-ILO project “Build trade union power for a fairer Europe” in Turin, and examples of good practices in organising and increasing outreach to traditional and new groups of workers from the hospitality-touri. [...] • On 28 September 2022, the Social Partners in the European Contract Catering Sector, at the Plenary meeting of their SSDC, discussed the impact of current labour shortages on the sector, the implementation and follow up of the EFFAT-FoodServiceEurope “Guide to the economically most advantageous offer in contract catering”, the relevance of the Pact for Skills for the contract catering sector, and. [...] (An oral report on the results of the GA will be given) EFFAT continued to participate in coordination meetings on the Pact for Skills for Tourism (PfST), launched in January 2022, driven by the European Commission in the context of the European Skills Agenda, which shall be implemented through national and regional skills partnerships.
