The consequences of such collapse will be global and essentially permanent, impacting especially the world’s most vulnerable, and largely populations far from polar and mountain regions through sea-level rise, loss of mountain water resources, permafrost thaw and emissions, and critical acidification of polar oceans. [...] RESPONSIBILITIES Key: • Manage day-to-day media outreach and communications for ICCI and especially in connection with UNFCCC and “AMI” efforts; • Establish and maintain relationships with global climate and science journalists, focused on English-speaking media but with significant attention also to other-language outlets as agreed with the Global and Regional Directors; • Manage COP-28 media out.
