[...] The state had the seventh highest number of Black households headed by Black immigrants in the country and was home to 98,700 Black 12 immigrant households in 2019 (see also Appendix, Figure 15). [...] The city of Boston saw a 15 percent increase in the number of native-born Black households between 2009 and 2019, while cities and towns in the state outside of Boston saw a sizeable 31 percent increase (Figure 14).
