What will make the
energy transition both
orderly and just? The idea of an ‘orderly
transition’ is explored in this paper to
identify the practicalities, advantages
and challenges of a coordinated
approach to a global energy transition
away from fossil fuels. An orderly
transition implies maintaining or
strengthening reliability and security
of supply, as well as maximised
sharing of information and technology
around the globe. An orderly
transition leaves no one behind.
