Beyond visibility: A learning Brief on Vulnerability Focal Point Approach

This fact sheet presents the main lessons learned and the factors that helped and hindered the use of the intervention called the Vulnerability Focal Point (VFP) approach to improve access to and use of SRH services by people with disabilities. The lessons learned from the VFP approach provide a reflection on what has worked and what has not. In addition, this note recommends ways to further improve the approach based on the experience and reflections of key stakeholders, including project beneficiaries (people with disabilities in the selected sites), VFPs, respective local government representatives, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) and its partners, and donors. The lessons learned will be crucial for making informed decisions about the continuation, scaling up, replication and sustainability of the VFP approach in the future.
