Summary
Although declining, Haiti's adolescent fertility rate remains higher than the average for lower-middle income countries. Women are 16 percentage points more likely than men to have vulnerable jobs. 30 percent of women have access to a financial account compared to 35 percent of men. 1 in 7 women have experienced physical and or sexual intimate partner violence in the last 12 months. Gender data remain scarce in key areas, hampering policies to narrow gaps between women and men, boys, and girls.
