Summary
Uruguay's adolescent fertility rate is 5 times higher than the average rate for high-income countries. Young women are 3 percentage points more likely than young men to be out of employment, not in education, or in training. Boys are 14 percentage points less likely than girls to complete lower secondary education. Men are 4 percentage points more likely than women to have vulnerable jobs. Only 37 percent of firms have female participation in ownership. Men are 3 percentage points less likely than women to have access to a financial account.
