The agreement establishes a series of principles that could inform both the negotiation and the text of the treaty itself - and even national legislation - such as the principle of equality and the principle of non-discrimination; the principle of transparency and accountability; the principle of non-regression and progressivity; good faith; the precautionary principle; the precautionary principle. [...] Lima: Third Meeting of the Focal Points Designated by the Governments of the Signatory Countries of the Declaration on the Implementation of Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
