"Nature-based solutions (NbS), and their ability to manage flood and erosion risks, are receiving increasing attention internationally but have been less widely implemented in Canada. There are a number of knowledge gaps and research needs that are preventing broader uptake of NbS in Canadian river systems, including a need for practical guidance to support design and implementation of NbS.
