In recent months, there have been multiple reported incidents of members of the Khalistan movement based in various Western countries including Canada, the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), and Australia, attacking Hindu temples and Indian embassies, and holding rallies with violent elements. In March, Khalistani separatists pulled down the Indian national flag at the high commission in the UK, [1] prompting New Delhi to raise the issue of lack of security in the area. [2]
